About Klarius

Klarius is a British exhaust system manufacturer based in Cheadle, Staffordshire — one of the few UK companies still making exhaust components domestically. The range covers complete exhaust systems, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and the rubber-and-metal hardware (clamps, rubber mounts, gaskets) that holds an exhaust system to the underbody.

What being UK-made means for exhausts

Exhaust fitment is unforgiving — a clamp or bracket that's 5mm out of position can mean the rear box hangs against the floorpan and rattles every time the car goes over a speed bump. Klarius parts are CAD-modelled per application using the original OE measurements, which makes them more likely to fit first time than a generic imported equivalent. The steel grades are aluminised or stainless depending on the part of the system, matched to where the part sits relative to the cat and the climate it'll work in.

The cats and DPFs are all type-approved (UN ECE R-103 and the relevant Euro 5 / Euro 6 stages), which is non-negotiable for road-legal replacements since 2011.

When to choose Klarius

For rear silencer and centre box replacement on UK family cars and vans — Klarius is one of the best-fitting mid-market choices and the warranty position is strong for a UK-made part. For type-approved cat replacement, Klarius covers most of the parc and is a direct alternative to BM Catalysts. For premium German applications, the OE silencer (Bosal, Eberspächer) may be the preferred match if budget allows.
