Abtex is a British brake-friction supplier based in South Yorkshire, producing brake pads, shoes and discs for the UK aftermarket. The company has been one of the recognised value-end friction brands in the UK trade for several decades, sitting below the premium German brands (Textar, Pagid) and the OE-leaning specialists (Brembo, Mintex) but still carrying full UN ECE R-90 type approval — the European safety regulation that every road-legal brake pad has to meet.
